Glass-Shot® Microbeads For
Surface Treatment
Glas-Shot® microbeads
are widely used in the impact treatment of surfaces. Their shape and
chemical composition provide a variety of properties that no other
media can claim.
When surfaces are
impacted with Glas-Shot®, the process
is clean, safe and user-friendly. Glas-Shot® is
used in all types of compressed air blast equipment, using a dry or
wet process. Glass bead treatment may be the only surface treatment
or it may supplement a treatment. For example, initial treatment utilizing
aluminum oxide followed by Glas-Shot® to
greatly improve the surface finish.

Plastic
Media
Greenhill
Supply stocks and distributes Solidstrip® plastic media which delivers
a high stripping rate and consistent performance ideal for paint
stripping, deburring and cleaning. There
are several different types of plastic media; Urea (Type II), Melamine
(Type III) and Acrylic (Type V) each of which can be used for different
applications. Type II urea
was designed to enhance the rate of removal process and is normally
desired for less sensitive surfaces. Type
V acrylic is used when cleaning sensitive surfaces while also maintaining
an excellent stripping rate. Plastic
media has become very popular among classic car and boat enthusiasts
that realize plastic media stripping is the most efficient process
to clean and prepare many surfaces for painting.
